It's the big dream isn't it. Sit at your computer, do a bit of this and that, rake in the cash. Making money online is easy once you've got one of those money from home blogs. You don't even have to get dressed in the morning!
I'm not sure whether that conjures up a pleasant mental picture or not, the underwear bit I mean. I don't need to ask about the idea of running a blog from home and getting rich - of course that's attractive - but is it just a myth? Is it all hype and all the real money is actually being made by a small group of really smart marketers who have "the secret" and are not going to let you in on it?
Do you want the good news, or the good news?
There is no secret. The money from home blog is a practical dream for anyone who can read and type, (even if you only type really badly like I do). There is nothing stopping you from turning your hobby or interest into a way of making money online. All the information you need is out there and accessible.
So why doesn't everybody do it?
I suppose some people just aren't cut out for it. People from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all levels of education, run their own businesses offline - but many more people don't. It's not all about skills and abilities, it's also about making a decision to change your life and then having the commitment, determination and drive to carry it through.
Despite the ridiculously low costs involved in blogging for money there are always those who will make excuses or just don't have the get-up-and-go to change their future. They might complain about the day job but they aren't going to get off their backsides and do anything about it.
On the other hand, there are those like you who are looking for that opportunity and who, with a bit of help, can achieve their goals. The myth isn't about blogging that can make you rich, that's a practical dream that people are living right now. The myth is that it can be done in a couple of weeks and without putting in any effort.
It's the old "short term pain for long term gain". If a few extra hours a week spent turning your interests into a money from home blog can change the way you live in a year or so, isn't it worth it? Personally I still get dressed for work (just jeans and a t-shirt) but if you're comfortable in your underwear that's great - so long as you're not expecting visitors!
So you're still dreaming of getting rich in your underwear? Start here: Money From Home Blog.
