Bringing a new level of versatility and capability to flash photography, the Canon Speedlite 430EX II features a powerful flash (guide number of 141 ft./43m at ISO 100) with a fast recycling time in a compact, durable body. A one-touch, quick-lock mechanism makes it easy to attach or detach the 430EX II from the camera and a metal foot has been added for strength and durability. Flash controls can now be set through the camera's LCD screen on compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras. The Speedlite 430EX II is also quieter, recycle time is 20% faster (as compared to the 430EX) and since it is compatible with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave unit".
Provide your camera with plenty of power with 8 ultra-high capacity 2900mAh Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries and a multi-voltage rapid charger.
The Stroboframe Quick Flip 350 is an economical flash-rotating bracket. This model offers high value, compact size, lightweight and fast handling. The Quick Flip 350 accepts most cameras except those with large, accessory battery packs or motor drives. All Stroboframe Quick Flip Flash brackets have a pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash over the lens in both horizontal and vertical positions. They have a comfortable foam grip and a tripod mountable base.
Customer Review: Flash Outfit
The Canon 430ex Speedlite is great in that it is a match for my Canon Power Shot S5 IS and automatically adjusts for focal length. The Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce Diffuser makes a big difference in the color tone faces. The faces are no longer washed out. The TTL Flash Cord has given me a couple of problems. Sometimes the flash and camera don't sync as indicated by a symbol on back of the flash readout. I have had to play with the connection to get it to work. The flash bracket is nothing special but when folding it out the angle or the flash head changes so it's best to take a couple of test shots. Overall it was a great combo deal with the extra batteries and charger.
When you're looking for your new oven, trawling through the hundreds and hundreds available to buy online, each one boasting a bigger and better feature than the one before, do you actually know what the features mean and what benefit they can offer you?
If you need a little helping hand making sure that you choose the right oven for you, I have looked at the main features you should be looking out for and explained them in a little detail to give you a push in the right direction.
Firstly do you want a double or a single oven? If you like to entertain or you have a large family then you may want to opt for a double oven. Why? The simple reason that when you have two ovens you will be able to cook more food at one time! In addition to this, when entertaining you will be able to cook different food types in each - perhaps fish in one and your dessert in the other?
Another vital decision that you need to make before you can choose your new oven is the fuel supply. This could be decided for you by what is available in your home or area, but if you do have a choice then there are a couple of things to consider. Gas ovens are all conventional - this means that they heat from the bottom only, great if you're a keen baker. Electric ovens are conventional or multi-functional fan ovens - this means they can heat from the top and the bottom and contain a fan to evenly distribute the hot air around the appliance giving exceptionally quick heat up times. If you do choose an electric model then you may be interested in the energy rating. The more efficient the oven, the less it will cost to run and the less energy you will waste using it. Energy ratings run from A-G, A is the most efficient and G the least.
With busy lifestyles becoming more and more prominent in today's society, many consumers want appliances that need less time spent on them for cleaning etc. If this is something that you too are interested in, then self cleaning features are something that you should definitely look out for. You can choose models with stay clean liners or pyrolytic functions. Ovens with stay clean liners have a lining inside the oven that acts as catalyst during cooking, burning off any burnt on food and grease that can be just wiped away. Pyrolytic cleaning ovens heat up to super high temperatures of around 500 when the special programme is activated, turning any burnt on food or grease to ash that can be just swept away!
If you're forgetful then make your life even easier with helpful timers, making sure that you always get the right results every time. Choose from simple countdown minute minders or more complex programmable timers which allow you to start and end cooking at a time specified by you.
Safety features are also something to consider if you have small children in the home. Features include; safety locks - to stop wondering little hands switching on the appliance when you are not around and air cooled doors - to make the outside of the appliance cooler and safer to touch!
If you live in a multi-dwelling building then it is essential, according to Corgi regulations, that any gas appliance that you buy comes with a flame safety devise included. The flame safety devise supervises the flame of the appliances; if this is accidentally extinguished then the gas supply will be good preventing a dangerous leak. Even if you do not live in a multi dwelling building, this is still something for you to consider as an excellent safety feature!
To avoid confusion make sure that you think of all the features that you need before you look around.
